After 20-plus years, Shoney's went out of business. The restaurant is boarded up and I have to say I will miss the place and most of all, the hot fudge cake. No one made hot fudge cake like Shoney's and it was my favorite. I guess it is a sign of the times. Shoneys, Movie Gallery, Spice of Life Bookstore, Goodys, Big Lots, Trees and Trends have all closed their doors and I do miss them! Has your town lost a lot of stores?

No More Hot Fudge Cake
After 20-plus years, Shoney's went out of business. The restaurant is boarded up and I have to say I will miss the place and most of all, the hot fudge cake. No one made hot fudge cake like Shoney's and it was my favorite. I guess it is a sign of the times. Shoneys, Movie Gallery, Spice of Life Bookstore, Goodys, Big Lots, Trees and Trends have all closed their doors and I do miss them! Has your town lost a lot of stores?
