The harvest moon hangs round and high

October is my favorite month of the year. Out of all the seasons, autumn is the one I enjoy most. Maybe it comes from childhood when we always started back to school in September and it was a time for new clothes and a new routine. Later on, my son was born in October, so that made the month special, too.
Now I just love the mild weather as the season transitions from summer to winter. It seems fall never lasts long enough, but while it is here, I love to get out my camera. Especially on the Natchez Trace where the color is always striking. Besides the beauty of fall in October, my favorite TV shows are returning. This Wednesday, I can't wait to find out what happens to Sam and Dean in Supernatural and what is the Darkness? I have seen the previews. This season looks to be dark in keeping with what has been unleashed. And next Sunday, the Walking Dead returns. Such an awesome show! Rick is one of the best characters ever. He has gone through such great arcs. It will be interesting to see what happens to him this season. Plus the rest of the cast is terrific and Daryl is the hottest redneck ever.

Patricia, I love your post! You and I have very similar feelings about fall and October, in particular! I just posted my blog post for today, and I promise I hadn't read your first! My youngest son's birthday is this month, too!! He'll be 28 on Oct 20th. Please share your son's, too! (I forgot to mention that I also love fall because it reminds me of going back to school. I did mention it in my memoir, saying I was one of those kids who actually looked forward to going back!) Have a blissfully autumn day!
