Today, down South, we are having our first snow of the season and I am enjoying looking at it from my windows. Such a pretty sight but I am thankful that I don't have to be out in my car today. When it snows in the South, the roads are treacherous.
So here are my favorite things when it snows:
Being at home where it is warm inside.
Lighting candles. Today I lit up a bunch of tea candles. I love candles as they seem to make a room warmer and cozier.
Hot cocoa. I haven't had a chance to make hot cocoa yet but I plan to this afternoon as the temperature dips into the teens. Brrrr!
Microfiber throws. I love to bundle up under soft throws. Microfiber is my favorite because they are so soft and not heavy but do keep you warm.
Recliner. Okay, so it just goes to say that if you are going to bundle up, a recliner is a good place to do so.
Books and movies. My favorite activity when its snowing is either read or watch a movie. Forget shoveling snow or being outside at all. I'd rather have all the above things listed, along with books and movies for entertainment.
I hope you have a great Friday and enjoy your favorite things whatever they may be!

All of your favorite things are what I miss about living in a four season climate. In Southern California, we wait for a rain storm to snuggle up!
Coming from a cold clime, your favorite things resonated. Now that I'm in the south (where they kept telling me, we only get ice storms. Snow disappears later that day when the temperatures go back to 50 degrees. Well, its 20 degrees and we had several inches of snow and my shovel is still up north. Time to follow your example.recliner, throw, hot chocolate, good book.
We haven't had snow yet where I am in the south, but they're forecasting flurries (not accumulation) tomorrow. Maybe. I love all your favorites--especially the throws. In my opinion, you can never have too many throws or blankets!
We are waiting for the snow to begin. So tomorrow I'll be in a baking frenzy! My favorite thing to bake when it snows is blueberry muffins. So I've got it ready to go! We're expecting 8-12"! The hot chocolate sounds good too!
Alina: A rainy day is a good time to bundle up as well! Thanks for stopping by.
Helen: That is so funny!!! Sorry about your shovel, but actually a big snow is very rare down here.
Ayla: I do love my blankets!
Jenna: That's a lot of snow! I love blueberry muffins too. I hope you bake a big batch tomorrow.
Being in the grips of the Aussie summer I love your post for the slight chill I felt when I read it. Unfortunately, such sensations cannot be enjoyed. Its too hot for candles, cocoa or snuggling under a rug. LOL
Heather: The Aussie summer sounds good!!! It is like 17 degrees right now.
You named all my fav things when it snows. Here along the shores of Lake Michigan, we get lots of it. A friend gave me a microfiber throw and I really love it.
I didn't sign up for this hop soon enough but still wrote a post about my fav thingx. Such a great thing to list.
