On the plus side, most shows seem so much better when I stream them in or watch them on DVD rather than on TV with commercials. This seems especially true of the Walking Dead when there are no commercial breaks.
I think what is bad is when you get to the end of a season and that's it. You have to wait for a new season or maybe there's not a new season, which is even worse if you really like the show. I'm thinking about a series I watched on Prime called Jericho and it was so good. But there are only a couple of season of it. It does having something of an ending, but I would have loved to have seen more episodes of it.
Here are some series that I have enjoyed and you might like to binge them
Supernatural 11 season so far and you need to start at the beginning to follow Sam and Dean's journey.
The Walking Dead 6 seasons so far. Awesome characters and it isn't really about zombies.
Mozart in the Jungle 3 seasons. About life as a musician in an orchestra. Sophisticated and fun to watch.
Almost Human British series about a vampire, werewolf and a ghost living together. Enjoyed it.
I'm always looking for an interesting series. If you have a recommendation, leave it in the comments.

You're so right that it's good until it ends. I especially hate when a season ends on a cliffhanger and the series is cancelled before the next seasons. Interesting list of programs.
I am with you on the cliffhanger/cancel. That's the pits!!!
Love these suggestions, Patricia. If Walking Dead is not really about zombies, I'll have to check it out!
A show that ends is like a book series that ends. Very sad, indeed. As for The Walking Dead, my husband and oldest son watch it, and I've seen snippets here and there, but my stomach cannot handle watching this show. It's a "tad" too graphic for my viewing. lol
Alina: I didn't watch at first. A friend gave me the DVD of the first season and kept telling me it isn't about the zombies. I finally didn't have anything to do one evening and I put in the DVD. I was hooked. I binged all the seasons until I caught up to the one being shown. It is graphic and I don't watch those parts when one of the human characters is being killed. Other than that, I love Rick, Darryl, and Carol. Great characters.
I watch mostly paranormal shows but cannot get into Zombies. I tried with Zombie Nation but not even D Qualls could keep me watching. There is something about knowing there are more seasons that keep me from worrying about my favorite characters.
My pet peeve with some shows is that many expand their story line so much over a few years that they're hard to follow. For awhile, I watched Person of Interest and Marvel's Agents of Shield, but they kept adding characters and after a few seasons, I couldn't keep track of who was who anymore.
