You don’t have time? Make that time. This is essential. Only you can make and defend the time you need for your work. Nobody is going to give it to you. I know, I know, it’s horribly hard. Writing is outrageously time-consuming. Of course, if you have an equally time-consuming job or heavy personal responsibilities, you’ll be slowed down. But you must make time or you will not write at all. Simple as that.~Stephen Koch
Recently I spoke at a writer's meeting about how important it is to finish the book you start. I have known so many writers who start out with great intentions but are unable to follow through. The one excuse I have heard most often is the "lack of time." You simply must make time one way or the other. You have to "take" it. No one will give it to you. Yes, writing is time-consuming but I'm always happiest when I'm writing so I've always made time to write. I think that is important. Write something you love and you'll find the time to tell your story.
